Our Approach
Dealing with a stressful situation at work or in a personal relationship, can quickly overshadow every other area of your life. We offer traditional talk therapy as well as art therapy, which can open doors for those who may struggle with communicating their emotions verbally, including children who have not yet mastered language to identify their inner thoughts and adults for whom communication is difficult. We offer a safe and supportive space for populations such as individuals and their families who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, problem gambling behaviors, and substance abuse among other challenges.
Challenges Addressed
We have broad experience in helping my clients confront many challenges in their life.
There are no problems that are too big or small that and your personal wellness is what is most important when starting out.

Telehealth. Therapy from the comfort of your home
Whether you are meeting in the office or over the phone, your privacy is taken very seriously when entering into a therapeutic relationship. A couple of important points to consider when scheduling an appointment for a video or phone session:
Make sure you have a quiet and private space where you can feel comfortable speaking freely.
Know where your device’s microphone is located so that you can direct your voice towards it. If it’s not possible, you may wish to consider an external microphone.
Depending on your device, you may not be able to hear your speakers over your environment’s ambient sound(s). In-ear headphones or noise-cancelling headphones may make it easier to hear your conversation.
Because the physical space isn’t being share during video or phone sessions, it is vitally important that you share your exact location just before, or at the start of, your session. In the event that there is an emergency, your safety is my priority and I will need to know where to send help.
We are licensed in Illinois. If you currently reside outside of Illinois, or are planning to visit another state, we will not be able to schedule sessions during that time. We can only schedule sessions with those who are currently in Illinois at the time of the appointment.
